Precautions After Filler
- Immediately after the procedure, bruising and swelling will vary by individual, and the treated area may appear uneven.
- Swelling usually lasts for about 3–4 days, and you may feel a burning or heated sensation in the treated area.
- Be careful of external pressure, as it can change the shape of the treated area. (For lip or corner-of-mouth procedures, avoid frequent straw use and ensure hot foods do not directly touch the area.)
- For 1 month after treatment, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and intense exercise that causes facial heat.
- Avoid rubbing or applying strong stimulation to the treated area.
- Stitches (if present) can be removed after 7 days.
- After stitch removal, showering is allowed. Until then, wash your face with a damp towel, avoiding the stitched area. (If there are no stitches, you may shower starting from the evening of the following day.)
- After the procedure, common side effects may include swelling, redness, mild pain, increased sensitivity, or discoloration at the injection site.
- These symptoms usually subside within 2 days.
- If symptoms persist, worsen, or if the area becomes increasingly painful, swollen, or dark in color, seek medical attention immediately.
